I think they’ve forgotten that racing is an exercise is branding and marketing... I could understand a spec chassis with individual bodywork (a la DTM/GT500), but this is hilariously dumb.

VT Sportscar’s Rallycross program just died. I could see Andretti sticking around but you are right that manufacturer involvement in GRC is now a thing of the past.

I think it’s the other way around: “Hey, we don’t think the races you organize gives us enough attention, so we’re outta here!”

I do think we will see the cars race this year though..
